Cabinet reshuffles state news agency’s board of directors

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Monday made a decision to reshuffle the Jordan News Agency, Petra board of directors.
Under the decision, the board will be chaired by Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson Jumana Ghunaimat, and include Petra's director general, Talal Shurofat, Khalaf Tahat, Yasar Durra, Hams Rabah and a Jordan Press Association (JPA) member, to be named by the JPA council, as members.
The Cabinet also accepted the resignation of the news agency’s former director general, Mohammad Omari, effective June 18, according to Petra.
