AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday listened to a briefing by Minister of Local Administration Walid Masri on the way municipalities and joint service councils are handling the unstable weather conditions that have affected the Kingdom over the past few days.
Masri outlined the precautionary measures that have been taken to mitigate these conditions’ impact, such as cleaning clogged culverts across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
The intensity of rainfall during the past 48 hours has exceeded the usual level for this time of year, resulting in material damages, road closures and power outages in some areas, Masri said.
