AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved awarding a tender to an Emirati company, in cooperation with Jordanian contractors at a percentage of no less than 25 per cent of the project’s value, to install a solar energy generating station at the Royal Court.
The Council of Ministers also approved excluding the second batch of retired public employees from the Cabinet’s decision to bar their employment in public institutions.
The decision will allow the Awqaf Ministry to employ them as imams.
The Council of Ministers also endorsed the 2015 draft amended securities law and referred it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau.
Also on Sunday, the Cabinet directed the Trade Ministry not to register companies seeking to possess movable assets by building commercial or residential complexes if they have foreign partners.
The decision was taken because the local housing sector enjoys self-sufficiency and does not need foreign investments.
