Army foils border infiltration attempt

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Monday night foiled an infiltration attempt by two individuals through the Jordanian-Syrian border, the army's spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The spokesperson said JAF has repeatedly asserted that the borders' security and the security of Jordanians is a red line, stressing the army's commitment to the rules of engagement, avoiding shooting directly at unarmed people who attempt to infiltrate the border.
