AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Saturday oversaw the preparation of the Jordanian aid planes bound for the war-torn Gaza Strip.

The operation included a military aircraft from Germany, marking its first participation in the Jordanian-led airdrops, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

During his inspection of the aid aircraft at King Abdullah II Airbase, Huneiti reiterated the ongoing efforts to garner international support for aid airdrops to the Gaza Strip.

He also emphasised the critical need to persist in delivering humanitarian aid to Gazans, aiming to mitigate the food shortages induced by the continuing Israeli war in the Strip.

Huneiti also hailed the high spirits of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) personnel and expressed his admiration for their "commendable" efforts in providing assistance to Gazans.

In a meeting with the base personnel, Huneiti conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the JAF. He expressed his pride in their exceptional efficiency and professionalism, reflecting the high standards of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
