Arab thinker Atiqa laid to rest in Amman

AMMAN — Arab economic thinker Ali Ahmad Atiqa was laid to rest in Amman on Tuesday.
The Libyan-born economist died on Monday evening.
He served as secretary general of the Arab Thought Forum in Amman for several years.
He also worked in many government and private posts in Libya, serving as the minister of planning under the reign of King Idris before being arrested at the beginning of Muammar Qadhafi’s era, Al Rai reported.
