Fayez also noted that the economy has become the leader of the sustainable development in all countries, adding that holding this specialised event in the tourist investment field is part of the ministry and partners’ efforts.

The minister said that other characteristics of this event is its leadership by Arab women, represented by the AWIU, in addition to attracting several stakeholders and Jordanian, Egyptian and Arab businesspeople and investors.

He also said that the government has offered several incentives and facilities and granted a proper investment climate for inbound investments.

Fayez said that the ministry, through the National Tourism Strategy 2021-2025, seeks to create a comprehensive economic growth through finding real and sustainable tourist experiences.

AWIU President Hoda Galal Yassa said that Jordan, during the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah, has realised several pioneering achievements in the economic fields and managed to build an economy that meets development needs and provide decent living conditions for citizens despite the scarcity of resources.

Yassa also added that Jordan, over the past few years, has managed to overcome the difficult conditions and stand firm in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic through efforts to realise the sustainable development, stressing that continuous Royal directives have contributed to alleviating the magnitude of the pandemic on the national economy.

She said that Jordan is among the most important tourist attractions in the Middle East, especially in medical and religious tourism, stressing that the forum will be a platform to promote Jordan and Egypt as a joint tourist attraction through organising tourist programmes with subsidised prices.
