AMMAN — The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union’s (APU) legal body on Wednesday ratified a number of guideline bills on women, children, terrorism and terrorist entities, and referred recommendations to the union’s executive committee.

The executive committee will go over the body’s recommendations and take action accordingly, as it is scheduled to convene on Thursday, a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.

On legislation regarding women and children, the legal body unanimously voted to split the guiding bill into two separate bills.

Afterwards, the executive committee will forward its conclusions to the prime ministers of member states and parliamentary delegations during the 29th APU conference, which will be hosted by the Jordanian Lower House in March.
