The media centre at the Public Security Department on Sunday said that AND was acting on a tip that suspects intended to hide narcotic pills in insulation rolls.
The centre said AND personnel inspected the vehicle at a border crossing to find and seize 500,000 pills. The driver was detained.
Another AND team detained three other suspects involved in the same case and all were referred to the State Security Court’s prosecutor general.
Meanwhile, department inspectors found 100,000 pills in another vehicle. Seven people were detained in this case and referred to court.
