AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel foiled two separate attempts to smuggle a total of 350,000 pills, Public Security Department Spokesperson Col. Amer Sartawi said on Sunday.
In the first attempt, three suspects were arrested while trying to transport 300,000 pills outside the Kingdom in a shipping truck, Sartawi told the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The spokesperson noted that the search was ongoing for three other suspects in the case. The second case included a man who tried to smuggle 50,000 pills through the post, he added. AND personnel arrested the man, who had hid the pills inside iron tubes in a package.
