Amman municipality honours sanitation workers

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) honoured sanitation workers on Sunday in celebration of Labour Day, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. GAM presented financial rewards to 100 street cleaners.
Speaking at the ceremony, held at the Odeon near the Hashemite Square, Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji commended the workers’ dedication, urging them to continue their hard work, which is the true way to express love for the city, according to Petra.
Around 4,600 sanitation workers are deployed in areas affiliated with the municipality, according to official figures.
