The conference was inaugurated by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Mothanna Gharaibeh and VP of Amazon MENA Ronaldo Mouchawar, and gathered Amazon’s leaders from across the world and Jordan’s tech community, according to an Amazon statement.
During the opening ceremony, Gharaibeh expressed Jordan’s pride in hosting this “vital conference”, organised by Amazon for the first time in the Kingdom.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Mouchawar highlighted the “integral role” played by the “breadth of talent and skills” available in Jordan to build Amazon in the Kingdom, noting that the Amazon office in Amman currently hosts more than 500 employees, the statement said.
