Al Hussein Youth Camps 2023 launched

AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Youth Minister Mohammad Nabulsi on Monday launched Al Hussein Youth Camps for work and construction 2023, organised by the Youth Ministry. 

Nabulsi said that the camps, which bear the name of His Majesty the late King Hussein, “are considered a historic memory in the hearts of every Jordanian man and woman,” as they have promoted the values of belonging and loyalty, giving and investing in youth and raising a generation that is capable of facing challenges for over 55 years.

This year the camps will see the participation of more than 16,000 young men and women distributed over 600 camps in all governorates of the Kingdom. The camps aim to educate and empower young people in various political, economic and social fields, protecting youth from the dangers of violence, extremism, terrorism and drugs, in addition to developing their skills, building their capabilities and unleashing their creativity for the benefit of their communities.

The camps include 39 central camps with different activities, including  adventure and challenge camps, scouts, guides, artificial intelligence, robotics, the electronic gaming industry, healthy lifestyles, vocational training and technical education.

The camps also include the establishment of 561 day camps consisting of activities centred on topics including political empowerment, peace, tourism, human rights, culture and the sustainable development goals.

The camps, which will continue until August 15, will be implemented in cooperation with a group of partners from official institutions, international organisations and civil society organisations.
