Afghan nationals depart from Jordan to US

AMMAN — Afghan nationals who were allowed entry to and transit through Jordan to the US earlier last week departed to the US on Friday morning, according to the Foreign Ministry.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Deifallah Al Fayez, said that less than a week spanned between the first group’s arrival at and departure from the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.
Afghans’ transit operations will continue until the end of the month in accordance with the US arrangements, under which the Kingdom allowed the entry and transit of up to 25,000 Afghans, Fayez added.
