AMMAN — Jordan, despite the big challenges it faces, is considered among the first countries in the field of sustainable development at regional and international levels, Jordan’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Amjad Adaileh said on Thursday.
Delivering the Kingdom’s speech at the 32nd session of the council of Arab environment ministers, Adaileh said that Jordan has adopted a gradual transfer to a green economy and has encouraged applying concepts of shifting to sustainable production and consumption methods, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
As for the marine environment, he said that the Kingdom, through the Aqaba marine reserve, will honour its pledges mentioned in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
