Abbas accepts Jordan's representative to Palestine's credentials

AMMAN — Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday accepted the credentials of the Head of the Jordanian Representation Office to Palestine Muhammad Abu Windi.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary General of the Palestinian Presidency Tayeb Abdul Rahim and Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al Maliki, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Earlier in the day, Maliki commended the historic ties between the two countries and His Majesty King Abdullah’s role in defending the Palestinian cause and the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem at all international arenas.
For his part, Abu Windi highlighted the “deep-rooted” and historic ties between the two countries.
