6 suspects arrested for drug possession in three cases

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel arrested six suspected drug dealers in possession of large amounts of narcotics through three different cases, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The first case included two suspects who allegedly used to sell and promote narcotics inside the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing the spokesperson.AND personnel arrested the suspect on a highway before searching their vehicles and finding 121 palm-sized sheets of hashish.
The second case included two brothers of an Arab nationality in Zarqa who were arrested for the possession of 70 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 16,000 narcotic pills and a weapon.
The third case included two suspects who were arrested for possession of 16,000 pills and an automatic gun while heading to a governorate in the southern region of the Kingdom. The spokesperson said that all cases were referred to the State Security Court prosecutor general.
