50,000 narcotic pills seized, four suspects arrested in Irbid

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have arrested four suspects involved in drug dealing and confiscated around  50,000 narcotic pills during a raid in Irbid, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.

Prior to the arrest, AND personnel initiated an investigation and gathered information about a group of people who were suspected of drug possession. During a raid based on the information, AND personnel seized around 50,000 narcotic pills and arrested a suspect of an Arab nationality.

The suspect led the personnel to three accomplices, two of whom were arrested and the third is still at large. In another case, AND agents and security personnel raided a house in Northern Badia, arresting three suspects and confiscating drugs and a firearm. The case was referred to the concerned authorities.
