AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) announced on Sunday that it has sent a total of 100 aid convoys to Gaza in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) since October 7.

In a statement on Sunday, JHCO said that 3,374 aid trucks have been sent to the war-torn Gaza.

According to the organisation, the 100th convoy, which arrived in Gaza on Sunday, was sent in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP), and carried food parcels, flour, various canned goods, baby formula, assorted relief items, medicines, and intravenous solutions.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli underscored the critical role Jordan plays in providing aid to the people of Gaza, and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian assistance into their war-ravaged.

Shibli emphasised the organisation's multifaceted role, which includes liaising with official bodies within Gaza to assess needs, considering the procurement of essential items, and networking with other organisations and institutions to secure additional donations, adding that these efforts directly contribute to meeting the needs of the people in Gaza and implementing effective relief programmes and projects.

He also highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the JHCO and the JAF to ensure the delivery and entry of aid into Gaza, noting that the organisation has established agreements with associations and organisations operating within Gaza to guarantee the proper distribution of aid.
