‘Reading for All’ festival launched with events in Mafraq

AMMAN — The Ministry of Culture on Sunday launched the 12th annual “Reading for All” festival which is a part of the Jordanian Family Library project, reported the Jordan News Agency, Petra. The programme aims to provide books at symbolic prices, (25-35 piaster).
The festival includes books, stories and various topics pertaining to Arab Islamic and Jordanian cultural heritage in addition to international, Arab and Jordanian literature. Events lasting five days were launched in Mafraq at the Beginners’ Readers library and Imam Muslim hall at Al-al-Bayt University.

At his home in Abdoun, 13-year-old Zaid points to numerous games, electronics and sports gear, scattered around the room. Elsewhere in the house there are TVs, a PlayStation and an Xbox.
