AMMAN — The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Thursday said that it has not received official confirmation from Kuwait about 15 Jordanian universities that allegedly had their accreditation revoked in Kuwait, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A statement from the ministry said that Minister of Education Walid Maani requested that Jordanian Ambassador to Kuwait Saqer Abu Shtal meet with the Kuwaiti minister of higher education to inquire about the merit of the news in question.
The statement added that the Kuwaiti cultural attaché to Jordan was invited to meet with Maani at the ministry; however he could not attend due to prior commitments.
The ministry noted that it could not confirm or deny that accreditation has been revoked until accurate information has been acquired from the concerned authorities.
