The Jordan Association of Management Accountants (JAMA) has held its annual meeting recently, highlighting the association’s achievements for 2018, and its outlook for 2019.

The annual meeting featured a review of JAMA’s 2018 achievements, including 15 workshops, the IMA 6th Regional Conference, the launch of the first Jordan CFO Forum and the First Student Chapter at the University of Jordan, as well as facilitating four CMA Scholarships.

“Our achievements in 2018, which include the successful organisation of the Middle East Regional Conference and the launch of Jordan CFOs Forum is just the start of our plans for the industry, and we are looking forward to more accomplishments and successes in 2019,” commented Ammar Khayyat, JAMA president.

The meeting also showcased the 2019-2020 plan for JAMA, which includes a continued focus on universities and training students to become better equipped to join the workforce through professional certification courses.

In terms of knowledge acquisition, which is another JAMA strategy for 2019-2020, the association will work to conduct more than 20 workshops and to serve more than 750 professionals and students in 2019.
