AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Tuesday stressed that Jordan will always remain strong in facing all challenges and adopts unwavering firm stances in supporting just causes of the pan-Arab nation, foremost among them is the Palestinian cause.
Issawi added that despite the crises and challenges surrounding Jordan, it remains steadfast in its positions and principles, referring to the Royal directive to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will be a significant milestone towards political development, according to a Royal Court statement.
Issawi made his remarks during separate meetings at the Royal Hashemite Court with three delegations representing dignitaries from the Rusaifah district, and representatives from the Ramtha Chamber of Commerce and the Knights for Peace Foundation.
He noted that His Majesty King Abdullah has conveyed the true suffering of the Palestinian people to the world, continuously stressing the necessity of stopping the aggression and destruction.
Issawi said that the King had reiterated that achieving security and peace in the region is only possible by fulfilling the Palestinian people's rights to freedom, dignity, and their independent, sovereign state on their national soil.
He highlighted that since the outbreak of the "brutal Zionist aggression" on the Gaza Strip, His Majesty has been tirelessly working to stop the bloodshed of the people in Gaza, protect them, and break the unprecedented siege aimed at starving and depriving them of all means of life.
The Royal Court official pointed out that the Kingdom was the first country to overcome risks, break barriers, and lift the siege on Gaza by sending relief aid convoys by land and air, as well as dispatching field hospitals to the war-torn strip and other Palestinian cities in the West Bank.
He added that His Majesty’s participation in the airdrop operations of aid embodies the highest meanings of heroism, sacrifice and dedication, providing an example of Jordan’s unwavering national stances on the nation’s issues.
He referred to the efforts of Her Majesty Queen Rania in presenting a true picture of the extent of the suffering of the Palestinian people to the global public opinion, countering all the fabrications and lies that Israel tried to promote in its aggression on Gaza and continued occupation.
Issawi also mentioned the efforts of HRH Crown Prince Hussein in supporting the Palestinian people and the courageous participation of HRH Princess Salma in one of the airdrops delivering aid and medical supplies to the Jordanian field hospitals.
Attendees expressed their pride in the positions and efforts of His Majesty regarding the Palestinian cause, his relentless endeavours to stop the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and his calls on the international community to continue providing medical, relief and humanitarian aid to Gazans.
They also appreciated King Abdullah's efforts to ensure the progress of Jordan in various fields, maintain its security, stability, and achievements, and contribute to comprehensive development to build a better future for all Jordanians.
