Families of fallen JAF soldiers depart for Hajj

AMMAN — On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah, Youssef Issawi, Royal Court Chief, saw on Friday the families of fallen officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) and security agencies and disabled soldiers leaving to perform Hajj (the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca) in recognition of the officers who fell defending Jordan’s security and stability.

During the farewell ceremony held at Royal Hashemite Court, Issawi conveyed the King’s greetings to the pilgrims, wishing them a blessed and smooth journey and a safe return to Jordan.
“This royal initiative is in recognition of the great sacrifices made by the members of the JAF and security forces,” Issawi said.
This year, the Hajj delegation for the families of fallen and injured soldiers was accompanied by the Hajj delegation of employees of the Royal Hashemite Court, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
