AMMAN — A Royal Decree has been issued, promoting HRH Crown Prince Hussein to the rank of major in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).
The commander of the King Hussein Bin Talal 40th Armoured Brigade, presented Crown Prince Hussein with his new military rank after the Royal Decree was issued, according to a Royal Court statement.
Crown Prince Hussein graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2017 and has participated over the past years in several military training courses.
Over the past two years, the Crown Prince has served as mechanised infantry platoon commander in the 1st Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Royal Mechanised Battalion. Prince Hussein currently serves as tank company deputy commander on the Second Royal Armoured Battalion.
