Jordanian expatriates' remittances reach $3.5 billion in 2023

AMMAN — Jordanian expatriates' remittances increased by 1.4 per cent, reaching a total of $3.5 billion in 2023, compared with 2022, preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) showed on Tuesday. The volume of remittances in 2022 amounted to $3.4 billion, according to CBJ. The data also showed a 2.1 per cent increase in Jordanian expatriates' remittances in December compared with the same month in 2022, reaching $326.1 million, Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
