AMMAN — Several marches of thousands of Jordanians took place after Friday prayer in Amman and various governorates of the Kingdom, condemning and rejecting the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Protesters denounced the double standards of the international community towards the Palestinian cause, chanted slogans denouncing the aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza and urged the international community to pressure Israel to halt the war on Gaza, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They supported the resilience of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank against the brutal Israeli aggression, which has entered its fourth month.
Protesters called on the Arab and Islamic world to get out of their silence, to take immediate action to stop the aggression, to cut ties with Israel, and to deliver immediate humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the besieged strip.
They also praised the positions of the Kingdom and other countries that stood with the rights of the Palestinian people and sought to prosecute Israel before the International Court of Justice for committing genocide against the Palestinians.
Demonstrations took place in different governorates including Amman, Tafileh, Irbid, Maan and Aqaba.
The demonstrations underscored Jordan’s consistent support for the Palestinians and stressed the importance of supporting the resilience of the people of Gaza in facing Israeli aggression.
