AMMAN — Minister of Health Firas Hawari on Saturday attended the opening of the Kufur Asad Health Centre and the expansion of the Kufur Youba Comprehensive Health Centre, including the addition of specialised clinics, in Irbid, to increase access for primary healthcare for more than 43,000 individuals. During the opening ceremony, Hawari highlighted the ministry's ongoing efforts to improve the infrastructure of hospitals and health centres across the Kingdom, noting that these developments are in line with the ministry's 2023-2025 strategic plan, which recognises public health, preventive medicine and family health as central themes. The newly equipped health centres now offer various medical specialities, providing services such as family medicine, paediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine and dental care. The 2,040 square metre Kufur Asad Health Centre will serve over 16,000 residents, while the 1,610 square metre Kufur Youba Comprehensive Health Centre, after expansion, will serve approximately 27,000 residents, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
