AMMAN — Tourism revenue amounted to $6.9 billion during the first eleven months of 2023, marking a 6.9 per cent increase compared with the same period of last year, according to data published by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Thursday. The CBJ data attributed the revenue spike to the increased tourist traffic in the Kingdom during the January-November period of 2023, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Jordanians’ expenditure on outbound tourism rose by 29.2 per cent during the first eleven months of 2023 compared with the same period of 2022, reaching $1.745 million.
