Army chief, Bahraini defence force chief discuss strengthening military cooperation

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday received Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force Lt. Gen. Theyab Bin Saqr Nuaimi, and his accompanying delegation, over means of bolstering cooperation and coordination in multiple military fields. Huneiti and the delegation went over the latest developments in the regional and international arenas with a focus on serving the interests of the two kingdoms' armed forces, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Huneiti said that meeting was within the framework of boosting defence cooperation and enhancing the two armies' military capabilities in various fields, as they have "long-standing and historical relations" that have evolved to a strategic level. Nuaimi stressed the "deep-rooted" relations and the importance of achieving close military cooperation between the two armies.
