AMMAN — Jordan's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Mahmoud Hmoud on Tuesday night called for bringing perpetrators of the attack on the Baptist Hospital in Gaza to justice. Speaking to reporters before the UN Security Council, Hmoud said that "military and political officials in Israel enjoy immunity and this must change immediately", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Hmoud, joined by other Arab ambassadors to the UN, urged the Security Council to call for an unconditional halt to the aggression against Gaza, the commencement of aid distribution, and the prevention of the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland. In addition, the UAE called on the Security Council to hold an emergency session on Wednesday morning to discuss the situation in Gaza.
