Senate deplores Israeli attacks in occupied territories

AMMAN — The Senate on Saturday condemned the Israeli attacks on Gaza, West Bank and its recurrent violations at Al Aqsa Mosque and Islamic and Christian holy sites. The Upper Chamber, in a statement issued by Acting Senate President Abdullah Ensour, stressed that continued violations against the unarmed Palestinian people will have significant repercussions that will contribute to further escalation and violence, calling on Israel to stop these heinous attacks, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Ensour called on the international community to break its silence on the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation, stressing the need for the world nations to bear moral and legal responsibilities to stop these attacks and crimes. He also reiterated the Senate’s full support to His Majesty King Abdullah’s efforts in defending the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and life.
