Cabinet endorses amendments to draft civil service bylaw

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Monday endorsed amendments to the draft 2023 civil service bylaw. The bill, endorsed during a session chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, is in line with the public sector modernisation roadmap and aims to strengthen administrating competencies' at civil service departments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also approved the administrative regulation bylaw of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply for the purpose of abolishing organisational units after transferring their responsibilities to others, promoting decentralisation and establishing new organisational units. The Cabinet also decided to restructure the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority's board of commissioners under the chairmanship of Faris Breizat. The Council of Ministers also appointed Suleiman Farajat as an adviser at the Prime Ministry.
