House speaker to hold series of talks in UK

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi is scheduled to hold official talks with Speaker of the UK House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle at the Palace of Westminster in London on Wednesday. 

Safadi, along with his accompanying delegation, during the three-day visit, is also planned to meet with Lord Speaker of the House of Lords John McFall, Foreign Affairs Select Committee of the British House of Commons, Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and United Nations and officials at Westminster Foundation for Democracy. 

Safadi will also attend part of a session of the House of Commons to discuss some questions with the UK prime minister, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The visit aims to enhance parliamentary cooperation and reflects the "historical" relations between the two kingdoms.
