Royal initiatives: Issawi inaugurates new projects in Karak

AMMAN — Royal Court Chief and head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives Yousef Issawi on Wednesday inaugurated several Royal initiative projects in Karak.

The projects were developed in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives from his field visits and meetings with Karak residents, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In the Mutah and Mazar area, Issawi inaugurated Al Hayyeh Martyrs Park, and toured the facility that was established on an eight-dunum plot of land.

Residents of the area praised His Majesty's efforts to improve citizens’ living conditions and enhance their role in serving their communities.

Issawi also opened the military retirees club, which was established with the aim of caring for military retirees and facilitating communication between veterans and state institutions.

Later on, Issawi met with several military retirees, conveyed King Abdullah's greetings to the veterans and expressing gratitude for their efforts in serving the homeland and its causes.

Issawi also said that His Majesty places a high priority on improving the living conditions of citizens by accelerating the development process so that all can experience improvements, which will help enhance their participation in the comprehensive development process.

For their part, the military retirees expressed their pride in King Abdullah, commending the care he has shown to veterans through launching initiatives that can enhance their roles in their communities.

Meanwhile, during a meeting with the chairman and members of Karak Development Corporation, Issawi commended the corporation’s role and contributions to the governorate’s development process and in implementing job-generating investment projects.

Mutaz Dmour, head of the corporation, delivered a presentation on the development achievements and projects implemented by the corporation, in addition to future schemes.
