Jordan’s first cyber security summit to host 400 experts, 20 exhibitors

AMMAN — The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), in partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), on Monday unveiled the details of Jordan's first Cyber Security Summit.
The summit, scheduled for September 25, will be held under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince Hussein, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
This event will cover a range of key global cyber security topics, including cloud security solutions, virus and malware protection, threat detection tools, security analytics, identity access management services, fraud prevention and penetration testing.
NCSC President Bassam Maharmeh, during a press conference, highlighted the summit's objective to strengthen Jordan's cyber security capabilities and establish the Kingdom as a regional cyber security hub.
"We aim to position Jordan as a regional cyber security hub. This summit reinforces this goal while strengthening partnerships with the private sector, as exemplified by our collaboration with int@j, a strategic partner that reflects the vision of His Majesty the King," Maharmah said.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Int@j Eid Sweis noted that the summit expects to host around 400 cyber security experts, along with over 20 exhibitors offering innovative solutions.
