Jordan condemns burning of Koran in Stockholm

AMMAN — Jordan on Thursday condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Koran in Stockholm under the protection of the Swedish authorities.
A Foreign Ministry statement stressed the Kingdom's rejection of this act that fuels feelings of hatred and violence, and threatens peaceful coexistence.
Such actions should not be mistaken for any form of freedom of expression, the ministry said, warning against continuing to tolerate such irresponsible actions.
