Hneifat opens Taste of America and Jordan food festival

AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat on Sunday inaugurated the Taste of America and Jordan food festival. 

The festival featured a rural products’ bazaar, a kitchen showcasing Jordanian and American cuisine and innovative products at Abdoun Mall. The event was attended by Alan Eyre, the Acting Deputy Chief of US Mission in Jordan.

Hneifat emphasised the deep-rooted nature of Jordanian-American relations, highlighting that such festivals strengthen cooperation and trade between the two countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. 

He underscored the ministry's efforts in implementing various projects to support and finance productive families, as well as finding appropriate marketing strategies. The festival provided a significant marketing opportunity for agricultural products, he noted.

Eyre stressed the importance of fostering comprehensive economic growth in Jordan. He expressed his country’s commitment to driving private sector growth and boosting trade with Jordan, noting that both Jordanians and Americans benefit from bilateral food trade.
