Youth minister meets with ambassadors of Sweden, Azerbaijan

AMMAN — Minister of Youth Mohammad Al Nabulsi on Sunday held separate meetings with Sweden's Ambassador to Jordan Alexandra Rydmark, and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Jordan Eldar Salimov, to discuss cooperation on youth issues. During the meeting with the Swedish Ambassador, Nabulsi discussed priority youth issues and programmes offered by the Swedish Institute of Dialogue. The two focused on enhancing youth participation in public life and implementing UN Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Nabulsi praised Sweden's efforts in implementing the resolution, and the country’s support in various international forums. He emphasised Jordan's commitment to the Youth, Peace and Security agenda through a national action plan. The Swedish ambassador highlighted her country’s work with youth in Jordan and the region. The meeting with the Azeri ambassador focused on strengthening cooperation on youth issues between Jordan and Azerbaijan. Nabulsi stressed the historical relations between the two countries, and expressed his keeness to enhance cooperation in youth programmes. Ambassador Salimov acknowledged the strength of bilateral relations and emphasised the importance of exchanging visits and sharing experience.
