Queisi, Syria’s tourism minister discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Makram Al Queisi on Wednesday held discussions with Syrian Minister of Tourism Mohammed Martini to explore ways of strengthening bilateral relations and fostering cooperation in the tourism sector between the two countries.
The meeting, on the sidelines of the 49th annual meeting of the HYPERLINK "https://www.un.org/regularprocess/content/united-nations-world-tourism-organization-unwto" United Nations World Tourism Organisation’s Regional Commission for the Middle East, highlighted the significance of intensified efforts in tourism-related areas.
Queisi reiterated Jordan's commitment to supporting Syria in the tourism sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Martini called for enhanced collaboration in training, human resources, and capitalising on Jordanian expertise in these domains. He also emphasised the potential for cooperation in the field of hotel construction in Syria.
