JTB launches promotional campaign during Cannes Film Festival

AMMAN — The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has launched a promotional campaign during the Cannes International Film Festival, taking place between May 16 and 27 in France’s Cannes. Director General of the JTB Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat on Saturday highlighted the significance of this marketing initiative for the Kingdom, as the event is expected to see the participation of more than 80,000 guests, including filmmakers, directors, actors and journalists. The revenues of the film industry in Jordan over the past decade surpassed JD150 million, along with numerous employment opportunities, he said. He underscored the role of the film industry in promoting tourism in countries where movies are filmed, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
