AMMAN — The National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) signed a memorandum of understanding with Generations for Peace on Monday to enhance cooperation between the two parties. NCFA's Secretary-General Mohammad Miqdadi and chairman of the council Mohannad Arabiyat signed the agreement, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation frameworks and implement plans, programmes, projects and activities of common interest, Miqdadi said.

He stressed that the council has adopted  a participatory approach involving governmental and non-governmental institutions, the private sector and international organisations in its projects, whether they pertain to protection from violence or youth development and empowerment. Arabiyat stressed that the mission of building peace at the grassroots level depends entirely on families' health and psychological, social and economic stability.
