Japan honours Al Balqa Applied University professor with Order of Rising Sun

AMMAN — The Japanese embassy on Tuesday awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon to Mohammed Abu Daya Matouq, a professor at the Al Balqa Applied University's Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
According to a statement from the embassy on Wednesday reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Matouq launched the Jordanian-Japanese Academic Association in 2004, and spared no effort in promoting academic exchange between Jordan and Japan.
The ceremony was attended by former ministers and members of the academia.
