AMMAN — The EDAMA Association for Energy, Water, and Environment and Yellow Door Energy Limited signed a partnership agreement to launch the “Daw” project ("light" in English), aimed at training young Jordanians in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic cells in underdeveloped regions.
The project's trial phase targets 20 trainees between 18-24 years old from Mafraq, with a 20 per cent female participation rate, to increase job opportunities for youth.
The three-month training will certify the trainees for practical and technical requirements for working in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic cells, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
After the training, a community centre will have 20 kilowatts of photovoltaic cells installed by the trainees, maintained by Yellow Door Energy for one year.
