Prince Feisal, ASOIF head discuss new Jordan Olympic Academy

AMMAN — HRH Prince Feisal, president of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) and member of the International Olympic Committee’s executive board, on Thursday met with Francesco Ricci Bitti, head of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF). 

During a meeting on the sidelines of the launch ceremony of the Jordan Olympic Academy, both parties discussed means of enhancing cooperation between both organisations. Talks also covered as the academy’s role in promoting Olympic values.

Bitti expressed his appreciation for Prince Feisal’s efforts to serve sports and athletes at both the local and international levels.

He also confirmed that the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss matters related to the Olympic movement, which has a “strong” relationship with Jordan. 

“This relationship will continue to grow and develop, and that the launch of the academy is a testament to that,” he said

The launch ceremony of the Jordan Olympic Academy included a presentation about the academy’s role, and a panel discussion that brought together beneficiaries and partners, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
