British ambassador affirms support for Hashemite Custodianship

AMMAN — The British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind on Wednesday affirmed her country’s support for the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
This came during a lecture delivered by Brind to students at the Royal Jordanian National Defence College, titled “British Foreign Policy in the Middle East”.
Brind highlighted the solid nature of UK-Jordan relations, stressing the UK’s support for Jordan in various fields. She also discussed the UK’s policy towards Middle East issues in light of international changes, especially the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on the global economy in general and the emerging economies of the Middle East in particular.
