Environment minister, Japanese ambassador talk climate change

AMMAN — Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh on Thursday met Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Jiro Okuyama over enhancing coordination on environmental issues, most notably climate change.
Talks during the meeting covered the Climate/Refugee Nexus Initiative, which was launched by His Majesty King Abdullah during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27). Radaideh emphasised the need for scaling up efforts to support the initiative, and both parties drew attention to the importance of pushing international efforts towards climate financing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
