Environment minister meets UK ambassador, UN resident coordinator

AMMAN — Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh and UK Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind on Tuesday discussed means to enhance cooperation in the environment sector.

Radaideh expressed appreciation for the UK's support to the Climate-Refugee Nexus Initiative that His Majesty King Abdullah launched at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Also on Tuesday, Radaideh met with UN Resident Coordinator to Jordan Sheri Ritsema-Anderson over cooperation between the ministry and UN agencies in the Kingdom, mainly efforts to support the Climate-Refugee Nexus Initiative.
