AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Egypt President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday stressed the strong level of relations between the two countries, and the importance of bolstering them across all sectors.
At a meeting held on the sidelines of the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership and attended by senior officials from the two countries, the two leaders noted the importance of maintaining coordination in service of shared interests and regional causes, according to a Royal Court statement.
The meeting also covered the latest regional developments, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, with the leaders stressing the importance of pushing towards a political horizon to reach just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution, while maintaining support for the Palestinian Authority.
