Education Ministry, JPS sign agreement to train teachers in first aid

AMMAN — The Ministry of Education and the Jordan Paramedic Society (JPS) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in training and empowerment, and primarily to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills in first aid.
Under the agreement, signed by Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafzah and JPS President Yanal Ajlouni, the association will hold training courses on first aid for teachers in the beneficiary schools.
The agreement also includes the provision of medical supplies for the schools, including first aid kits, and enhancing the use of mobile phone apps to speed communication and ensure the sustainability of quality services, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
